The most ridiculous gifts to world leaders: the disks, the carpet and the grasshopper

Trump sent Kim Jong Ynu disc with a song by Elton John. For those who think that diplomatic practice is too unusual gesture, we have prepared a list of the most unexpected (and ridiculous) gifts to world leaders.

On Friday, the US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo arrived in North Korea. And not with empty hands.

Korean newspaper the Chosun Ilbo reported, citing sources in Washington, Pompeo needs to convey North Korean leader Kim Jong Ynu a gift from the President of the United States Donald trump.

As learned in The Chosun Ilbo, during a meeting of the leaders of the DPRK and the United States discussed what trump called his counterpart a “man-missile,” referring simultaneously to the military ambitions of North Korean leader, and song by Elton John — “Rocket man”.

I spoke with President Moon of South Korea last night. Asked him how Rocket Man is doing. Long gas lines forming in North Korea. Too bad!

It turned out that Kim Jong UN never heard of this song. In the end, trump decided to give him a drive to fill the gaps.

The international community froze in anticipation of the reaction.

Vice published an article with the headline: “trump has sent Kim Jong Ynu disc with the song “Rocket Man”. And we’re all doomed.” “Let’s hope he has a sense of humor,” wrote the publication.

Drive — best gift

Kim Jong UN is not the first head of state, who received the gift drive. In 2009 Barack Obama, as US President presented Prime Minister Gordon brown a collection of DVDs with their favorite American films.

Seem to appreciate this gift to the British was quite difficult. Not only that, he was the answer to a much more valuable gift of the British side, and was completely useless — in the United Kingdom and other regional restrictions DVD, and movies from disks of Obama there simply was not playing.
