Rosturizm: Tour Polar had no right to draft and implement tourist products
MOSCOW, June 15. /TASS/ — the Department explained that in case the payment to the tour operator didn’t arrive, the agent has to complain to this company about the refund of the price paid for the product.
Group of companies Polar Tour, which announced the suspension of activities on Friday, had no right to draft and implement tourist products. This is stated in the message of the Federal tourism Agency.
“In the unified Federal register of tour operators there is no information about Polar Tour, the organization is not a tour operator and is not entitled to form their own tourism product. In addition, information about Polar Tour are also missing in the register of travel agents posted on the website of the Association “Turpomosch””, — stated in the message of the Federal tourism Agency.
In this regard, for information on the status of specific applications for booking of the tourist product, which are processed via Polar Tour, and further action (including the need for payment or additional payment), travel agents must contact the tour operator that generated the tourism product, said tourism.
The Agency explains that if the payment to the tour operator is not received, the travel agent must refer the claim to the Polar Tour on the return of the price paid for the tourism product.
If Polar Tour will leave the claim of a travel agent without a response and/or satisfaction, the dispute shall be settled in court in the order established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, said in tourism.
In turn, the Federal tourism Agency draws attention of tour operators the need for proper informing of tourists and (or) travel agents about the status of applications that are processed via Polar Tour; travel agencies on the need to respect the rights of consumers of tourist services to receive all services, paid for them in full, properly informing the tourists about the situation and the measures taken for its resolution; tourists on the need to apply to determine the status of the application and provide recommendations for further action to the travel agent with whom the contract was made, either directly to the tour operator.
