Named the most popular books of the Moscow library

Metropolitan library was rated the most popular books that were requested by readers of different ages in may this year. This was stated by the Director of the Central city youth library named after M. A. Svetlov Valentina Agafonova.

“In recent years it has become more works of fiction that focus on the female character. The tendency of the submission of the heroines morally and spiritually strong personality: the reader is hard-pressed to call it belonging to the weaker sex, mysterious and so on”, — Agafonov was quoted by the website of the Moscow mayor.

It is reported that among the favorites were also writers literary awards. For example, “Laurel” Eugene Vodolazkin, which brought the author a prize “Yasnaya Polyana” and “the Big book” in 2013 and “Patriot” Andrei Rubanov, who received the award “Yasnaya Polyana” in 2017.

In the may list was “the Aviator” Vodolazkin, “City of Brezhnev” Shamil Idiatullin, Text by Dmitry Glukhovsky and “Zahhak” Vladimir Medvedev.

Readers of younger age have given their preference to “Son of the regiment” by Valentin Kataev, “the Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery and “the Kingdom of crooked mirrors” Vitali Gubarev.

On 7 June, the press service of the project “Active citizen” reported that the Muscovites have chosen a single design of a library card in libraries.
