Looks like a “graveyard” of trams in Pennsylvania (photo)
Once it was a Museum under the open sky.
Photographer Matthew Christopher, from Philadelphia for several years takes the project Abandoned America (“Abandoned America”). He finds and takes pictures of the places that people left.
Abandoned houses and even entire cities, abandoned parks, factories and hospitals, hotels, suffered an accident or natural disaster, which are easier to keep than to recover.

In the framework of its project Christopher visited the famous cemetery of transport, located in the woods in Pennsylvania.
Once it was a Museum under the open sky. In 1992, an elderly American had purchased for his private collection 14 decommissioned tram cars and moved them here. Some of them he repaired and sold to other collectors, and part left itself. In subsequent years, he supplemented his collection.
Now this place holds about 50 trams, trolleybuses and metro cars.
Unfortunately, the Museum was abandoned: cars rust under the open sky, and around and inside them there are already trees.
