Putin arrived in Beijing
BEIJING, 8 Feb — RIA Novosti. Vladimir Putin arrived in Beijing, where he will hold talks with the Chinese leadership.
The Russian President will meet with President XI Jinping of China, after the leaders will sign a joint statement.
Also it is planned to sign a number of intergovernmental and commercial bilateral documents covering cooperation in trade, energy, space, intellectual property protection and other fields. This was previously reported to journalists by the assistant to the President Yuri Ushakov.
In addition, Putin will meet with Premier of the state Council of China Li Keqiang and Chairman of the standing Committee of vsekitajsky meeting of national representatives of Li Zhanshu.
After negotiations in Beijing Russian President will take part in the SCO summit. it will be held on 9-10 June in Qingdao.

Relations with Beijing
China is one of the main partners of Russia in the international arena. The approaches of Moscow and Beijing to the key international problems, including the situation in Ukraine, the Korean Peninsula, the middle East and North Africa are close or coincide. Russia supports China on Taiwan.
The trade turnover between the two countries in the first five months of 2018 grew by 26.9 percent compared to the same period last year. Total bilateral trade for the first five months of this year was 40.67 billion.
Russia is the only major supplier of goods and services for military purposes to China.
