Scientists know about the taste preferences of dogs and cats

Scientists from the U.S. found out that dogs prefer fatty foods, but cats love more than sweet food. While both of them consider whites the least attractive source of calories.

For the experiments, biologists have prepared several variants of cat and dog food that had the same taste, odor and color, but consisted of different amounts of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

Scientists believe that the experiment will help the vet nutritionists to create a new feed that are both tasty and healthy for the animals, reports the Journal of Experimental Biology.

Researchers have previously established how to communicate with dogs. It turned out that Pets are eager to establish human contact, if to communicate with them as well as with young children.
