Putin said the main task of the Cabinet to increase retirement income
President Vladimir Putin during a straight line, called one of the key tasks of the Russian government improving the welfare and increasing the level of income of pensioners.
Speaking about a possible increase in the retirement age, Putin recalled that “I always treated this extremely cautiously and carefully”.
According to the President, the Russian government should soon provide the increase of incomes of pensioners. “The key goal is improving the welfare and incomes of pensioners”, — said Putin, adding that the Cabinet should provide this in the near future.
The Russian government in recent months, there is active discussion on pension reform. In late April Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the issue of raising the retirement age soon to be discussed at the legislative level. Note that no decision has been taken.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova said that the basic outlines of the updated pension system of Russia will be worked out in the next year, a pension provision in the country should consist of two parts — public and corporate, when participation in the formation of pension belongs to the employer.
