KRASNOYARSK, may 4 — RIA Novosti. Detained 11 participants of the religious cell in Krasnoyarsk, who were recruited into militias and organized channel for their transfer to terrorist groups of Syria and Afghanistan, according to the FSB Department in the Krasnoyarsk territory.
The Department stated that the leader of the cell phone made contact with members of the international terrorist organization abroad. According to the FSB, he recruited his compatriots, who worked in the region, the ranks of the militants and helped them smuggle in the territory controlled by international terrorist organizations. The criminals promoted terrorism with the use of videos of one of the Islamic religious preachers in places of public accommodation and food; during the searches they discovered and seized banned religious literature, reports of the FSB.
“FSB officials of Russia in Krasnoyarsk Krai suppressed the activity of a religious cell, which is oriented to the ideology of one of the terrorist organizations, whose members carried out the propaganda of terrorism in the region. During carrying out quickly-search actions by employees UFSB it is detained 11 participants of the specified group, two of whom arrived to Krasnoyarsk from the Kyrgyz Republic, organized a channel for the transfer of radical persons on the territory of Syria and Afghanistan to join the ranks of terrorist groups”, — stated in the message.
In the regional head office of the FSB announced that in may, the investigative Department of the FSB in the Krasnoyarsk territory in relation to two of the organizers prosecuted for “preparing to participate in the activities of the organization, which in accordance with the law, is a terrorist” and “promoting terrorist activities”.
