Ukrainian court upholds journalist Wyszynski under arrest
Moscow. June 1. INTERFAX.RU the court of Appeal of Kherson region of Ukraine on Friday rejected the lawyers to change the measure of restraint for the arrested editor-in-chief “RIA Novosti Ukraine” Cyril Vishinsky.
Vyshinsky was detained may 15, in Kiev, on may 17, the Kherson city court elected him a measure of restraint in form of arrest till July 13. He is accused of treason under part 1. article 111 of the criminal code of Ukraine.
On 21 may, the defence filed the Appeal court of Kherson region a complaint for the arrest of Wyszynski.
Article 111 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (high treason), which is attributed to the journalist, the alternatives to detention as a preventive measure does not provide.
