MOSCOW, 1 Jul — RIA Novosti. Russia always provides assistance to its citizens, Moscow will act within the framework of legal standards, said Deputy official representative of Russian foreign Ministry, Artem Kozhin, commenting on a request by the head of RIA Novosti Ukraine Kirill Vyshinsky, who is accused by Kiev of treason.
Informed Vyshinsky turned to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with the request to take all necessary measures for his immediate release, and asked for protection.
“The Russian side always provides assistance to its citizens, we, as you know, no one knows. Naturally, we will act within the framework of relevant international legal norms”, — the diplomat said at a briefing on Friday.
“The situation itself, of course, regrettable. This is outrageous, when such things happen around the media. We hope for a corresponding reaction of specialized international organizations”, — said Kozhin.
