The customer of attempt at Babchenko wanted to flee to Italy, said in the GPU
MOSCOW, 1 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that the Ukrainian authorities had to detain an alleged customer of the assassination of the Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko, since the attacker wanted to escape to Italy, told the tabloid Bild.

“When a customer wanted to escape to Italy, we had to detain him”, — said Lutsenko in interview to the German edition.
On Tuesday, the first media and then the government of Ukraine reported that the citizen of the Russian Federation Babchenko, who from 2017 worked on the TV channel ATR in Kiev, allegedly shot and killed in the stairwell of his house. However, the next day Babchenko appeared at the press conference of the security Service of Ukraine. As stated by the head of the Agency Vasyl Hrytsak, the information about the “murder” Babchenko was part of a special operation to prevent the assassination of a journalist.
“Reporters without borders expressed indignation in connection with the re-enactment of the murder Babchenko for information warfare. The head of the MIA of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said that “if you had the chance… we would do so every day.”
The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova called the news that Babchenko’s alive, “the best news”, while noting that the story was laid out propaganda effect.
