The Russian foreign Ministry commented on the accusations against the Russians in the attack on fans in Kiev

“Ignorance or a deliberate propagation of fake news? The Daily Mirror accuses the “Russian” in the attack on the fans of Liverpool as they say in Russian”, — wrote the Russian Embassy on Twitter, explaining that “Russian men of military age does not admit into the country the border guard service of Ukraine, as Russian language is most common in Kiev.”
