Died American Christian Evangelist Billy Graham
Known in the US, religious figure, preacher Billy Graham, has died at the age of 99 years, reports on Wednesday channel si-EN-EN.
Graham died on Wednesday morning local time at his home in the city Montreat (North Carolina).
The report notes that Graham was one of the most influential Evangelical Christian faith in the United States and around the world.
A number of former American presidents, including Lyndon Johnson, George Bush and bill Clinton often consulted him in matters of religion, said the channel.
“He was a leading religious figure of his time… only a few popes and a couple of people could match him in terms of achievements,” led channel words of the historian William Martin, who wrote a book about Graham.
