The court has sentenced a Ukrainian accused of preparing acts of sabotage in Crimea

SIMFEROPOL, 16 Feb — RIA Novosti. The Supreme court of Crimea on Friday sentenced the accused in the preparation of acts of sabotage on the Peninsula of the citizen of Ukraine Andrey Sahaja to 6,5 years of a colony of strict regime, reports RIA Novosti.

“On set of crimes by partial addition of punishments definitively assign Saftey Andrei Romanovich in six years and six months imprisonment with a fine in the amount of 220 thousand roubles with punishment serving in a colony of strict regime,” read the verdict by the judge Sergey Pogrebnyak.

Lawyer Igor Pivovarov after the verdict, told reporters that it will file an appeal in the Supreme court of Russia.

In August 2016, the FSB of Russia said on prevention in the Crimea the attacks prepared by the main intelligence Directorate of the defense Ministry of Ukraine against critical infrastructure and life support of the Peninsula. In the case of preparing acts of sabotage arrested Andrew Tahta and Evgeny Panov.

Earlier it was reported that Sahta entered into a pretrial agreement with the investigation. The accused gave evidence about the preparation of Ukrainian exploration of a series of explosions on the Peninsula.
