Earlier media reported that released 63-year-old Anwar Masalimov, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a pensioner.
Moscow. 8 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — Federal service of execution of punishments (FSIN) has confirmed the media about the unprecedented release almost two years ago from a life sentence Anwar Masalimova, sentenced in 1992 to death.
“June 22, 2016 in the IR-18 (penal colony “snowy owl” in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district — Interfax) received the original of the decision of the Vologda regional court for release of the convict M on the basis of article 10 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation from further serving of punishment in connection with the adoption of the law on improving the situation of the convicted person”, — is spoken in the message a press-Bureau FSIN, received on Thursday at the request of “Interfax” about the release Masalimova.
The press service noted that on the same day, Masalimov was released from the correctional facility.
