Mnuchin: U.S. to impose sanctions against persons of “the Kremlin list” in the coming months

WASHINGTON, 6 Feb. /TASS./ The American administration is not configured to use restrictive measures in relation to sovereign debt of Russia and its derivatives. This was stated by the Minister of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, speaking on Tuesday at a hearing by a Committee of the house of representatives of the Congress of the United States.

“We are focused on specific sanctions against “bad” individuals and companies not on the sanctions in respect of the debt,” — said the Minister of Finance, speaking about the restrictions concerning Russia. Mnuchin stressed that his office continues to work and restrictions on Venezuela, Iran and North Korea.
