In St. Petersburg more than 100 thousand people were left without electricity during a blackout

S.-PETERSBURG, 3 Dec — RIA Novosti. Power outage due to operational disturbances at the Pervomayskaya CHPP Saturday morning in St. Petersburg touched on three areas of the city, home to almost 110 thousand people, according to the materials of situation and analytical centre of the Ministry of energy on the website of this Department.

As reported in GU Ministry of emergency situations in the city, cause rolling blackouts was a short circuit at the Pervomayskaya CHPP under the jurisdiction of PJSC “TGC-1”. Earlier, the representative of JSC “Lenenergo” has informed RIA Novosti that a massive power outage on Saturday affected the three districts of St. Petersburg — Vasileostrovsky, Kirovsky and Admiralteisky.

“Left without electricity household consumers in Kirov, Admiralty and Central areas (about 109.6 thousand people). The outside temperature is minus 4 degrees… Continue emergency repair work”, — stated in the certificate of situational-analytical center as of 9.30 Moscow time on Saturday.
