Polls: declared turnout in the presidential elections is 71%
MOSCOW, 1 Feb. /TASS./ Declared by the Russians, the level of turnout in presidential elections is 71%, about 70% of respondents said that they are ready to vote for the incumbent head of state Vladimir Putin.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted from 26 to 28 January by the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).
The declared turnout
As follows from the materials of research available to TASS, the declared level of civic participation in the elections is 71% is the share of Russians who said that “definitely will” participate in the March elections. Thus this figure is growing since December last year: if, then, the appropriate response was given by 63% of respondents, for example, 8-10 January 2018 — 67%.
Another 10% of respondents VTSIOM said about a potential willingness to come to the polls, saying that soon will take part in the elections.
Only 3% of respondents say they definitely will not go to vote, many say that most will not do it. Not yet decided, will go to the polls or not, 11% of respondents.
Ratings of candidates
About 70% (69.9 per cent) of respondents stated that they intend to vote for Vladimir Putin — his candidacy they chose, answering the question, for whom would you vote if presidential elections were held next Sunday. VTSIOM notes that for this indicator, “registered a decline from the beginning of January (from 73.8% according to the survey, 8-10 January)”.
The ratings of other candidates included in the survey are as follows: businessman, candidate of the Communist party Pavel Grudinina ready to support the 7.2%, LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky — 5,9% and 1.2% would vote for nominated by the political party “Civil initiative”, the TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, 0.9% — for the founder of the party “Yabloko” Grigory Yavlinsky, 0,3% — for the leader of the Party of growth, the business Ombudsman Boris Titov.
VTSIOM experts say the instability of the rating Grudinina, whose “the fall of alternate ascents”. And, for example, Sobchak fix “for the month fluctuations within 0.3 percentage points”.
