Sobchak in Grozny staged a picket in defense of the arrested head of the “Memorial»
The candidate in presidents of Russia Ksenia Sobchak held in Grozny picket demanding the release of the head of the Chechen branch “the Memorial” Ouba Titieva. The picket was held in the afternoon of 28 January around the monument to journalists who died for freedom of speech.
Oub Tatiev was detained in Chechnya on charges of drug possession, according to court him put under arrest. The head of the Republic Ramzan Kadyrov publicly called him a drug addict. Titiev claims that drugs were planted on him.

Ksenia Sobchak addressed Kadyrov with a request to release Titieva. The head of Chechnya said in response: “Here she is stupid, I don’t understand it.” Kadyrov claims that he has no authority to intervene in the investigation.
