Moscow. 23 Jan. INTERFAX.RU — First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich believes insufficient service life on an appeal in one year, as it does not provide the efficiency of the army.

“Service in the Armed forces one year is nothing, and to provide reliable frames is impossible,” — said Klintsevich on Tuesday at the parliamentary hearings in the state Duma, which discussed issues of improving legislation in the sphere of preparation of citizens to military service and military-Patriotic education.

According to him, at the time the decision to move from two years to one year of service “was influenced by the political situation”.
