Earlier, the national weather service confirmed that a meteorite fell near the town of new haven, located about 65 miles from Detroit.
“Weather service confirms that the flash and the cotton was not thunder and lightning, and is probably a consequence of the fall of the meteorite,” — said in a message posted on the Twitter branch of the meteorological service in Detroit.
