Actor Mikhail Derzhavin
MOSCOW, January 10 — RIA Novosti. Oldest leading actor of Theatre of satire Mikhail Derzhavin died at the age of 81 years, told RIA Novosti in the theater.

According to the interlocutor of Agency, people’s artist of Russia died “after long illness”.

Mikhail Derzhavin was born June 15, 1936 in Moscow in the family of one of the leading actors of the Vakhtangov Theatre Mikhail S. Derzhavin. The father died when Michael was 15 years old. To help the family he had to earn money, the tenth grade, he graduated from night school.
In 1954, Derzhavin enrolled in drama school named Shchukin. Then he was invited to the Moscow theater of the Lenin Komsomol.
In 1969, he moved to the Theatre of satire. During the work there has played many roles, among them Elisha in “the Banquet” Arkady Arkanov and Grigory Gorin, Velosipedy “Bane” of Vladimir Mayakovsky, Teletel in “Mad money” by Alexander Ostrovsky, the puffer in “Woe from wit” by Alexander Griboyedov.
In the movie, the Derzhavin debuted in 1956, starring in the film Yuri Yegorov “They were the first” where he played schoolboy Zhenya.
One of the most memorable of his film roles — in the movie “Three men in a boat not counting the dog” Naum Birman, the work of Jerome K. Jerome.
In the 1990’s, starred in many comedies from Director Anatoly Aramyan: “Womanizer”, “My sailor”, “the Groom from Miami”, “Third is not superfluous”, “Impotent”, “Night visit”.
In the 1970-ies the actor was a regular member of the TV show “Tavern “13 chairs” in the role of pan Master. Program during the long years was very popular and brought Derzhavin all-Union fame.
Received several awards, including the order “For merits before Fatherland” III and IV degrees. In 2006 in Moscow in the Alley of Russian cinema next to the “Mosfilm” was opened naming a star Michael Derzhavin.
The artist was interested in sports and fishing and loved to sing. He was thrice married, he is survived by a daughter and two grandchildren.
