Evgeny Nikolaevich Avrorin was born on 11 July 1932. He studied at the physical faculties of the Leningrad and Kharkov University, in 1954 graduated from the faculty of physics of Moscow state University.
In 1963 he became the laureate of the Lenin prize, and in 1966 he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist labor. Since 1992 he has been an academician of the RAS.
He was the honorary scientific Director of the Russian Federal nuclear center — all-Russian research Institute of technical physics named after Zababakhin (RFNC-VNIITF, Snezhinsk, Chelyabinsk region).
