RSC Energia has confirmed the recovery of the satellite Angosat
Communication with the first Angolan satellite angosat, launched from Baikonur, restored, according to RSC Energia.
Satellite received telemetry information, which shows that all the parameters of the onboard systems of the device are normal.RSC Energia
The carrier rocket “Zenit-2ЅБ” with the upper stage “Fregat-SB” and the satellite angosat was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome in the evening of 26 December. However, after launch into the target orbit communication with the satellite was lost.
The contract on creation of national system of satellite communication and broadcasting of Angola was signed in June 2009. According to the Ministry of communications of Russia, by September 2016, the Russian enterprises in cooperation with foreign companies has completed the construction in Angola of the mission control center, upgraded ground infrastructure of satellite communication and broadcasting, and also began to test the component parts of the satellite Angosat.
