In Kyrgyzstan detained EN route from Syria to Russia terrorist
Moscow. 29 Dec. INTERFAX.RU — member of the terrorist group, a citizen of one of CIS countries traveling to Russia, detained in Kyrgyzstan, said on Friday “Interfax” the press service of the State Committee for national security (SCNS) of the Republic.
“Bodies of the SCNS in the ongoing counter-terrorism activities the obtained data about a special subversive and terrorist group of international terrorist organizations in Syria, whose members went to the CIS countries with the purpose of committing a series of terrorist acts during the Christmas holidays,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
According to him, the national security Committee in collaboration with partners in November-December was the personalities of the individual members of this terrorist group.
The representative of the press service noted that on December 27 was carried out the detention of a citizen of one of CIS countries, which gave a confession about his involvement in terrorist activities, participation in combat actions on the side of extremists in Syria and passage of mine-explosive preparation in camps of terrorists.
“At the end of 2017, received an assignment from the leaders of the terrorist organizations, he crossed the Syrian-Turkish border for subsequent entry into the Russian Federation. Currently being a further complex of operative-investigative activities”, — he explained.
