“We know, and we confirm that the accounts belonged to-face or conducted from the person who is listed among the special categories of citizens, which are subject to economic and trade sanctions of the United States. In this regard, Facebook is under a legal obligation to deactivate accounts that person”, the letter said the press service.
On 23 December the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said that his accounts on Facebook and Instagram are blocked. Minister of Chechnya on national policy, external relations, press and information Dzhambulat Umarov said that the account of Kadyrov were unavailable due to “sabotage attacks” on the instructions of the US state Department.
Later Kadyrov said that from now on, all important messages will appear in his account on the social network Mylistory — Chechen analogue Instagram. He also continues to maintain a profile in “Vkontakte” and the channel in the Telegram.
Kadyrov has made to the us sanctions list for “the Law Magnitsky” on December 20. This list include the USA suspected of involvement in the death of the lawyer of Fund Hermitage Capital of Sergei Magnitsky. He died in a Moscow prison “Matrosskaya Tishina” in 2009.
