MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke Saturday at the XVII Congress of the party “United Russia” speech that politicians have regarded as software. In it, he outlined ways for further development of the country. The head of state said about the need to work for the benefit of the inhabitants of Russia, but called on United Russia not to give people unrealistic promises. The Congress also made the party leader, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who Putin promised support to the party in the presidential election and expressed hope for his shutout.

To eliminate the problem

Speaking to United Russia, Putin stressed the need “to honestly identify unresolved issues and aggressively to solve them, eliminating what hinders to go forward, to set ourselves even more ambitious goals and achieve results.” What has already been done, he called the “Foundation, but not a guarantee of further successful development”. Having ambitious goals, you need to understand that something might not be done, “but even worse – not to set ourselves these ambitious targets, then certainly nothing will happen,” he said.
