About 90 people were killed in floods in the Philippines

Moscow. 23 Dec. INTERFAX.RU — About 90 people were killed in floods and landslides in the province of North Lanao, caused by a tropical storm in the Philippines, dozens of people are unaccounted for, reported on Saturday by the Western media.

Currently, the province deployed the rescue operation, but their implementation is hampered by damage to power lines and communications.

Meteorologists say the storm increased, the wind speed reaches 80 kilometers per hour.

The storm struck the island of Mindanao yesterday.

Over the weekend the Philippines was hit by Typhoon Urduja, the number of victims has exceeded 30 people.
