North Korean soldiers fled to South Korea
Moscow. 21 Dec. INTERFAX.RU a Soldier of the North Korean army fled to South Korea on Thursday, said the South Korean joint chiefs of staff (joint chiefs of staff) of the armed forces.
The report notes that the soldier “lowest rank” was discovered by the border guards of South Korea in the Western sector of the land boundary between the two States on Thursday around eight in the morning local time (02:00 Moscow time).
Currently, relevant departments are investigating the intentions of the defector.
The last time a North Korean soldier escape to the South occurred in November of this year. Border of North Korea opened fire on him and wounded, but it was picked up by their South Korean counterparts.
