Former Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev spoke about his first night in jail, where he was placed after the verdict. This was reported by “Moskovsky Komsomolets” on Saturday, December 16.
Ulyukayev stressed that lately sleeps uneasily, although his first night in jail was “basically good”. However, he criticized the regime in the detention center. “You never know. Don’t know why to handcuff me why this “hands behind your back, face to the wall”? People are different, it is necessary to differentially approach”, — said the former Minister.
“These demands diminish human dignity. I habitually check the time, watch the clock, and which are not. Why not in jail watch? Because life here is routine, and how it is possible to observe, if there is no time?” — complained the speaker.
He added that he does not understand why he was arrested, as the verdict has not yet entered into force and before the appeal, he could remain on house arrest.

Speaker was detained November 14, 2016 on suspicion in bribe extortion the head of “Rosneft”. The investigation claims that he demanded money from Igor Sechin for a positive conclusion about the possibility to purchase state-owned shares “Bashneft”. During the arrest of the Minister was found to have a large bag, which turned out to be two million dollars in denominations of 100 dollars. After excitation of criminal case Ulyukayev dismissed.
