The oldest bear in the United States has congratulated happy birthday
A zoo in Philadelphia has organized a party for dipper Goldilocks, who was 37 years old. Now she is officially the oldest of all polar bears living in zoos in the USA.
The bear was treated to a peanut butter, honey, raisins, and finally a fish cake. Goldilocks absorbed holiday meals to the accompaniment of the song “happy birthday to you”, the Associated Press reports.
As told by the zoo staff, the average life expectancy of bears in captivity is 23 years. Kallikaks lived record for a long time thanks to the care and love he received from the zoo staff.
Dipper lived for 30 years in the company of his partner, Klondike. In 2015, Sputnik, who was 34 years old, left her forever.
