President Recep Tayyip erdoğan has expressed concern that after the loss of Jerusalem, the Muslims can lose Mecca and Medina. On Friday, December 15, he said on air of the TV channel NTV.
“If we lose Jerusalem, we will not be able to defend Medina. If we lose the Medina, we’re gonna lose Mecca and the Kaaba,” said Erdogan.
On 6 December, the President of the United States Donald trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This decision provoked disapproval among the majority of European and Arab leaders.
Jerusalem in Israel is officially declared the capital of the state. Most countries in the world believe that the Eastern part of the city should be the capital of Palestine.
