In the search area of the Argentine submarine detected an unidentified object
Moscow. 3 Dec. INTERFAX.RU — IN the search area for a missing submarine the Navy of Argentina “San Juan” in the South Atlantic discovered a new unidentified object, reported on Sunday Agency Associated Press.
According to the representative of the Argentine Navy Enrique Balbi, it is at a depth of 950 metres and is located near the last known location of the submarine. He also said that earlier, the Russian discovered an underwater remote-controlled apparatus, the object turned out to be a sunken fishing boat.
The submarine “San Juan” disappeared 18 days ago. On Board were 44 crew members. Last Friday, the command of the Argentine Navy announced that it would stop the rescue operation because chances to find the sailors alive is almost gone: if the submarine failed to surface, oxygen reserves it would be enough not more than 10 days.
