Later Hey-bi-si has published a correction: the source of Ross said that he had instructed General Flynn and “a narrow circle of senior advisers” to look for possible ways to improve relations with Russia, and did so after the election. A possible point of contact with the Kremlin could be cooperation in the fight against “Islamic state” (banned in Russia, Britain and other countries).
