The most comfortable cities of Russia as Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan
Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod — the most comfortable city in Russia, the report, prepared by Alexander Sokolov and Oxana Rudneva from the Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Scientists have made a rating of cities of Russia by the level of comfort for your stay. This level was estimated based on 25 different indicators, including the presence in metro city, the co-ordination of air traffic and the number of universities and theaters in the city.
At the end of the rating was Novokuznetsk, Tomsk, Vladivostok, Barnaul and Khabarovsk is, according to scientists, the least comfortable cities for living in Russia.
Scientists: the older a city in Russia, the lower where wages are the Russian young people moved EN masse to St. Petersburg and Moscow HSE Experts: the Russian regions have plunged into depression.
Moscow, in their view, ahead of second and third places in the rating of St.-Petersburg and Kazan by a large margin.
The report concludes that a better place to live was the city, located in the European part of Russia. According to scientists, they develop faster because of transport availability.
Russia is now in 1100 cities, which are home to 73% of the population. The authors of the study analyzed the situation in 35 cities with population exceeding 500 thousand people. In total, these 35 cities live 46 million people — about a third of the population of the country.
Major cities are considered from a social point of view the most successful: they lower unemployment, more employment opportunities, more small businesses are developed and the average level of education is higher than in smaller cities.
Moscow lost for security and climate
Moscow was the leader in most of the rankings: commercial attractiveness, infrastructure, education, culture, banking sector and others.
Weaknesses of the capital were only social services and security.
Under the social sector scientists understand the availability of kindergartens, doctors, and the conditions for receiving medical care. In this category, the leaders were, according to scientists, Izhevsk, Irkutsk, and Tyumen.
Under security, the authors meant the number of crimes committed per 100 thousand people. Least made at Ryazan, Penza, and Yaroslavl and Kemerovo, Tyumen and Irkutsk.
The city with the most comfortable climate became Krasnodar — here soft the temperature difference during the year. And here in Khabarovsk, Irkutsk and Kemerovo temperature change the most.
The leader in Russia by number of international events was St. Petersburg. He is recognized as a city with one of the most difficult demographic situations.
Irkutsk, Krasnodar and Tomsk is recognized as the cities with the least developed infrastructure in Russia. The leader in this category was due to the extensive Moscow metro network and development of traffic. Followed by Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny — the city was able to expand road infrastructure and effectively fight traffic jams, scientists believe.
