In the centre of Athens in a Bank, a bomb exploded
ATHENS, 19 Jul — RIA Novosti, Gennady Melnik. The bomb exploded in the Bank’s branch Eurobank in the centre of the Greek capital, according to the Athens news Agency.
At about 22: 00 (same as GMT) an unknown call from the editor of the news website zougla.gr reported that the office of Eurobank in the house on the street 7 Santaroza the explosion will happen in 35 minutes. The office is located in the heart of the capital, between the streets of Panepistimiou and Stadiou.
Police have blocked off the area. No information on casualties.
The explosion caused material damage to the office of the Bank and nearby buildings, the Agency said.
