As a result of incident with a bus in the Philippines killed 31 people
MOSCOW, 19 Jul — RIA Novosti. The death toll in the accident with a bus in the Philippines has increased to 31, reports Agence France Presse with reference to the representative of police.
On Tuesday, the bus in which there were several dozen passengers, slid into a ravine in the Philippine province of Nueva Ecija. Earlier it was reported about 24 dead.
According to the latest data, 46 people were injured, four are in critical condition. Only the bus was carrying 77 passengers.
“Wheel broke, and because of this, the bus slid into a ravine. It seems that the bus was overloaded. Because of this, could not withstand the wheel” — said the representative of the local police. Previously eyewitnesses reported that when the incident occurred, the bus was moving too fast.
Such incidents often happen in the Philippines, especially in mountainous areas. The largest recent such incident occurred in August 2010 when the bus fell into a mountain gorge, killing more than 40 people.
