In Istanbul about three thousand people came to protest against the outcome of the referendum

MOSCOW, April 18. /TASS/. At least two thousand people came out Monday night to protest in the Kadikoy district on the Asian side of Istanbul against the results of Sunday’s referendum in the country. This was reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

According to him, thousands of protesters also marched in Besiktas district. As reported, the protesters shouted “side by Side against fascism” and carrying placards with the slogan “We are right, we will win.”

These shares were held peacefully, but reported 13 people detained during the protests in Antalya.

On April 16, the referendum was won by the supporters of amending the Constitution. According to preliminary results of counting 99.9% of ballots for amendments to the Constitution of the Republic spoke of 51.3% of the population, the turnout was 86%. Constitutional changes, in particular, provide for the introduction in Turkey, the presidential form of government is parliamentary. The post of Prime Minister is abolished, and the President will have the right to appoint a Vice-President, Ministers, some members of the Board of judges and prosecutors.
