The Ministry of internal Affairs of the Russian Federation supported the legislative initiative about restriction of travel abroad for police officers. This was stated on Thursday, April 13, Deputy Minister Igor Zubov at the meeting of the state Duma Committee for security and combating corruption, reports the TV channel “360”.
In his opinion, in the case of the adoption of the document will eliminate the ambiguity between the law and the requirements of the Ministry of internal Affairs.
Teeth noted that “the bill is sufficiently a compromise” and “quite gentle”. “There is no direct prohibition, it is also related to the competence of the Minister, but there are caveats that say that can be allowed to travel to certain countries in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, not prohibited from going to countries of the CIS”, — said Deputy foreign Minister.
The bill put forward by the Deputy from LDPR Dmitry Nosov. He believes that the amendments will be to strengthen the fight against corruption and improve the competence of employees. Following the meeting, Committee members decided to support the initiative.
In April, legislators in the Duma introduced a bill that, among other things, allowing police to shoot at the crowd. The document caused a public outcry and was soon withdrawn.
