The US is ready to launch a preemptive strike on military targets in North Korea, if it becomes clear that Pyongyang is about to conduct another nuclear test. About it reports NBC News, citing several high-ranking representatives of the us intelligence community.
According to them, North Korea may conduct another test in the coming weekend, and to prevent this, 500 kilometers from the North Korean nuclear test site the U.S. Navy has deployed two destroyers equipped with cruise missiles “Tomahawk”. In addition, if necessary, to strike connects heavy bombers, located on the island of GUAM in the Pacific ocean.
The TV station said that a U.S. strike could include not only massive bombardment, but cyberattacks and special operations on the ground. Reportedly, NBC learned that countering North Korea’s nuclear program, among other things, developed the physical elimination of the leader of DPRK Kim Jong-UN, as well as the deployment of nuclear bombs South of the 38th parallel.
“If the US dares to make a choice in favor of military action, shouting slogans of “preventive strike” and “the destruction of the headquarters”, the DPRK is ready to react in any U.S. form of military action,” — said earlier in the North Korean foreign Ministry, adding that the DPRK is not asking for the world, but always “ready to defend themselves by force of arms.”
In early April, U.S. President Donald trump in an interview with The Financial Times said that the US alone will deal with the nuclear problem of North Korea, if China is not going to do that.
Starting in 2016, North Korea has launched more than 20 ballistic missiles and conducted two nuclear tests, which violate the resolutions of the UN security Council.
