A particle of the Holy fire from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem for the Easter Liturgy in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in 15-th time will bring Fond Andreya Pervozvannogo (FAP). The delegation, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of FAP Vladimir Yakunin, after a moleben at the airport “Vnukovo” has departed to Israel, the correspondent of TASS.
The Holy fire descends at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem the day before Orthodox Easter, which this year begins April 16. Every year at the Holy sepulcher ignite the lamp with oil and 33 candles, symbolizing the years of the earthly life of Jesus Christ. On the eve of the temple and extinguish all the candles and lamps, and the patriarchs, to which a fire comes, carefully screened. In the entire history no one has managed to solve the mystery of the Holy fire, despite numerous attempts.
