The possible imposition of sanctions against the Russian military will not affect the anti-terrorist operation in Syria, said Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Viktor Ozerov. His words leads to “Interfax” on Monday, April 10.

“We will continue our operation, no one can stop the goals we are pursuing — the destruction of the terrorists,” the Senator said, commenting on the fact that the foreign Ministers of the countries “the seven” plan to discuss the possibility of imposing sanctions against high-ranking military of Russia and Syria.

Ozerov stressed that high-ranking Russian military “uninvited tourists in Europe and the countries of the “sevens” do not go”. “For them, even after the dismissal from the Armed forces there are restrictions on travel abroad for several years. For high-ranking military is generally shotgunning”, — he said.

Earlier on Monday, foreign Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson said that Britain intends to consult with partners in the G7 on the issue of new sanctions against Russia and Syria. In particular, according to him, we are talking about the limitations of military involved “in the management of the Syrian operations.”

On 9 April, the U.S. permanent representative to the UN, Nikki Haley said that President Donald trump discusses with the members of his administration, the introduction of new sanctions against Russia and Iran for supporting Syria.
