Media reported about the action of a terrorist in Stockholm on the “order” of ISIS
The suspect in the execution of the terrorist attack in Stockholm, 39-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan Rakhmat Akilov acted on “orders” of ISIS (an organization banned in Russia). It is reported by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, citing sources.
According to the publication, the statement he made in one of the interrogations, adding that he is a supporter of the “Islamic state”. “Bombing in Syria must be stopped”, — cited the newspaper’s source words Akilov, noting that the terrorist called the attack a “bombing in response to the bombing of his country.”
The terrorist attack in Stockholm took place on April 7 at Ahlens shopping centre Mall on the main pedestrian street Drottninggatan. A truck crashed into a crowd of people standing on the sidewalk. The victims were 4 people, another 15 were injured.
The next day after the attack, on 8 April, the Swedish police announced that they had arrested the alleged executor of the attack. According to the channel SVT and Aftonbladet newspaper, was arrested two people. One of them was Akilov, who, according to sources to Aftonbladet, admitted his guilt in Commission of the pedestrians. Swedish police later confirmed the arrest of the second suspect, but no details are reported.
After the arrest Akilov Aftonbladet wrote that on his page in Facebook discovered propaganda films of the “Islamic state” (declared a terrorist organization and prohibited in Russia).
