The OPCW launched an investigation into the chemical attack in Syria
Moscow. April 6. INTERFAX.RU — organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW) declared the beginning of investigation on the possible use of chemical weapons in the Syrian Idlib, reported on Thursday by the Western media.
According to them, the OPCW “has established contacts with the Syrian authorities and requested information concerning allegations of the use of chemical weapons in the Syrian town of Khan shaykhun”.
Earlier this week, the media reported that the city of Khan shaykhun in Idlib province was applied ammunition with toxic substances in the killing, according to various estimates, about 100 people. Today in the Ministry of health of Turkey reported that the examination of victims of a chemical attack revealed the poisoning of the nerve gas sarin.
In Ankara insist that the attack was committed by Syrian government forces. The opposition also blamed the attack on Syrian government forces. In turn, the Syrian monitoring center for human rights reported that the ammunition was released from the aircraft the government of Syria or the Russian sides.
The President of the United States Donald trump blamed the chemical attack on President Bashar al-Assad and stated that this was the result of bad decisions the previous US administration.
In Damascus the charges in the attack was rejected. In the defense Ministry, in turn, said that the Syrian air force launched a strike in Khan Shaykhun in the warehouse of ammunition of terrorists where there were workshops for the manufacture of bombs, stuffed with poisonous substances.
