In the second round of the presidential elections in Ecuador, the lead candidate of the ruling left bloc “Alliance Country” former Vice President Lenin Moreno. The second round of presidential elections in Ecuador took place April 2. The first stage of voting, which took place on 19 February, was inconclusive. Moreno then scored 36.2% of the votes and Lasso — 26.1 percent of the votes.
The President-elect will take office on may 24. The mandate of the head of state for four years.
