The Navy of Russia in 2017 will replenish the thirty new ships and vessels. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a gala reception in the Main Admiralty on the occasion of Navy Day.

The Supreme commander made a tour by boat of ships lined up before the parade on the roads of the Neva river at the Admiralty embankment. During bypass the head of state congratulated the crews of each vessel the Day of the Navy. In total, the event involved about 50 ships and submarines over the city during the parade will fly over 40 planes and helicopters of naval aviation.

Festive events dedicated to the Day of the Navy celebrated on the last Sunday of July, held throughout the country from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, but the most notable event of the day promises to become the main naval parade in St. Petersburg, a tradition which is revived this year. Parade in St. Petersburg The main naval parade in the country will be held in the Neva river in St. Petersburg and the Kronstadt naval RAID. As explained earlier, the Deputy commander of the Navy of Russia Alexander Fedotenkov, holding such celebrations is a return to the traditions of Peter the Great, who held a review of ships after the decisive victory of the Russian fleet at Gangut in 1714.
