MOSCOW, December 26. /TASS/. Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, working on the International space station (ISS), were left without gifts for the New year — they crashed together with the spacecraft “Soyuz MS-10” in October. TASS reported on Wednesday, a specialist in psychological support of cosmonauts from the Institute of biomedical problems (IBMP) RAS Lily Shueva:
All Christmas gifts for the astronauts this year, unfortunately, crashed: we sent gifts Aleksey Ovchinin, but the “Soyuz MS-10” crashed.
As stated Shueva, for astronauts in 2018 had been prepared large enough parcel for the New year. “There was a boot that we put favorite candy cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Alexei Ovchinin. In addition, we sent some berries, nuts, ketchup, mustard. They want to orbit a normal meal,” said the psychologist.

Lily Shueva also said that relatives and staff a helpline every time with soul approach to the selection of gifts for the astronauts on the ISS.
