Russia has made a rating of regions of sobriety
The most “sober” regions of Russia are Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria.

The rating was compiled based on open data of Rosstat, Federal alcohol market regulatory service, Ministry of health, Ministry of interior, Central statistical database and EMISS. The total score of the region was calculated according to six criteria. Evaluated, in particular, the number of deaths from alcohol and including patients with alcoholism. And also the number committed in the state of intoxication of crimes and offences related to illegal manufacturing of and trafficking in alcohol. Another evaluation criteria were the volume of sold alcohol, and the analysis of regional legislation in this sphere.
So, Chechnya gained 12.78 points, Ingushetia is 12.82, Dagestan -14,18. Improved their position in the ranking of Karachay-Cherkessia, in 2015 it was the 25th, but 2016 is firmly in fourth place (20,02). Followed by Kabardino-Balkaria (20,70). Also, the leaders were in Belgorod (22,51) and Tyumen (22,52) region, Stavropol Krai (of 23.61), Volgograd oblast (24,24) and Kalmykia (26,48).
Outsiders rankings were Chukotka (48,14), Magadan oblast (of 46.98) and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (of 46.85). Low indices in the Sakhalin region (of 45.88), Komi (45,46), Karelia (of 44.71) and the Kamchatka territory (42,20), Kirov (42,79), Vladimir (of 42.36) and Kostroma (42,31) regions.
