Giant sandwich a length of 70 meters was created in Mexico city.
Over the sandwich with a weight of 865 kg worked more than one hundred chefs from Mexico and other countries. The event was part of the annual fair Torta — so in Spanish it’s called a sandwich.
As the filling has been used different types of deli meats, tomatoes, onions, avocado and sauces. The preparation took only two minutes and 29 seconds.
Contrary to expectations, the sandwich was not included in the Guinness Book of records, as in 2004, the Mexicans made a sandwich weighing 3 tons.
Fair Torta will last until September 2. It is expected that it will be visited by 350 thousand participants. They will be able to try around 100 types of Mexican sandwiches.
