In the North-East of Northern Ireland within 3 kilometers North from the village of Bushmills is an amazing natural monument called the giant’s Causeway. This 40 thousand interconnected basalt hexagonal columns of different heights (from 6 to 12 meters), resembling a ladder and the pavement.

This road was the result of a volcanic eruption: during cooling of the lava flow has formed a bizarre angles. Although local legend has it that the road was built by a hero of Celtic myth of Finn Mac Cumal.
In 1986 the giants Causeway was included in the world heritage List of UNESCO.
